Who is Yuji Nishidas wife? Know everything about Sarina Koga?
Yuji Nishida was born on January 30, 2000. He plays volleyball for Japan’s national team. On January 6, 2018, Nishida made his V League debut for JTEKT Stings against Osaka Blazers Sakai. After making his debut at the tender age of 17, he quickly earned a spot in JTEKT’s Starting 6 and the men’s national volleyball team of Japan. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Nishida also guided the team to its best-ever seventh-place finish in 29 years.
Nishida is one of the younger players on the Japan men’s national volleyball team’s 2018 roster for the FIVB Cup Final. In the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League, he made his debut for the Japanese national team. He was instrumental in helping Japan defeat Italy in June 2018, earning 24 points from 21 spikes and 3 aces to secure the team’s first victory in 11 years. The youngest player to ever record 30 points in a game was Nishida in September 2018 during a match against Argentina at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship. After hitting 7 aces in a single game during a match against Canada in June 2019, Nishida broke serving records in VNL history.
For the 2021–2022 season, Nishida switched teams to play for Volley Callipo in the Italian Volleyball League. Despite an injury and subsequent two-month recovery, he was three times awarded MVP of the game. With a personal one-match record of 29 points and the league record for most aces in a match (8 aces) during the league’s first round of the 2021/22 season, Nishida would become his team’s leading scorer.
The 2022 Japanese roster for the Nations League, Asian Games, and World Championship was unveiled by the Japan Volleyball Association (JVA) on April 4. Due to his training for the Italian league and ensuing injury, Nishida was listed among the 35 players on the roster who did not participate in the team’s participation in the 2021 Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship competition the previous year.
Nishida contracted an unidentified illness two weeks into the 2022–23 V League season, which resulted in him missing the first three weeks of the season due to a persistently high fever. He underwent a number of medical tests during this time, all of which produced conflicting results. Nishida began to worry as he later explained in an announcement about his prolonged absence from competition, “Will I be able to play volleyball this year with JTEKT?” Fortunately, each symptom eventually went away, and Nishida was able to pick up volleyball again. Following his return, Nishida was able to guide his team to a three-set victory over Toray Arrows in the 2022 Emperor’s Cup final.
