West Bonner school board calls special meeting days after recall vote
Priest River, ID (CBS2) — The West Bonner School Board has called a special meeting just days after voters were in favor of recalling members of the board.
The special meeting is in response to the recall vote of the chair and vice chair.
The agenda for the meeting includes "Reorganization of the Board" which includes dissolving the current board, nominating and electing a new chair, and approving the superintendent.
The school district has been at odds with the State Board of Education since the controversial hiring of Branden Durst as Superintendent.
This decision is one of many problems that led to the special election that took place on Aug. 29, which ultimately was in favor of recalling the chair and vice chair of the Board of Trustees.
