Jamal Murray undoubtedly was one of the best guards throughout the post-season. He and Nikola Jokic even led the Denver Nuggets to win their first-ever championship. It wouldn’t have been possible without Jamal Murray’s contribution. In the championship run, he established himself as a star while dominating and clowning his opponents with the deep bag of skills he has. Also, let’s not forget that he did all of that after recovering from an ACL tear.
But unfortunately, NBA 2K24 cares the least about all of his greats and, especially the ring he has recently won. His overall 2K rating on NBA 2K24 is just 84. Even Jamal Murray himself was shocked and disappointed with the number being so low. He expressed his disappointment via a tweet where he wrote, “Ain’t no way my rating that low! How is that possible??”
This isn’t the first time when a star hasn’t been happy with his 2K ratings. But Jamal Murray is coming off a championship run with an unreal performance and he’s still ranked with or below of players who aren’t even close to the run he has had. Murray in the last post-season averaged: 26.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game.

Their ratings suggest that players like Jordan Poole, Franz Wagner, Deandre Ayton, Rudy Gobert, Paolo Banchero, Josh Giddey, Jalen Green, Cade Cunningham, and others are either better than Jamal Murray or are just as good as him.

Fans react to NBA 2K24 disrespecting Jamal Murray with his ratings
The internet is disappointed with the way NBA 2K24 has treated Murray. Many are already clowning the game for giving him an 84 OVR rating and ranking him with players who aren’t even close to the conversation he’s a part of. Fans are also throwing out what they believe can be the reason behind Murray’s low rating. Many are also pointing out how the actual ratings for all the players are yet to be updated as the game hasn’t been released.
