Severe storms leave thousands without power in Idaho, eastern Oregon
Boise, ID (CBS2) — Thousands across the Treasure Valley and eastern Oregon are without power after severe thunderstorms moved through the area.
Idaho Power is reporting outages from Baker City Oregon to Placerville Idaho due to the thunderstorms rolling through the area bringing 70-mile-per-hour winds, hail, lightning, and some rain.
Some of the outages are Public Safety Power Shutoffs that Idaho Power conducted as a precaution in areas that are at high risk of wildfires.
Crews are working to restore power to affected customers as quickly as possible though it may take some time.
