Popular WWE star receiving stem cell treatment for nagging injuries after recent title loss
For the past few years, Sami Zayn has been an integral part of WWE, both as a heel member of The Bloodline and as a lovable babyface. He even main-evented WrestleMania 39 and won multiple titles. Like many wrestlers, the Canadian star has suffered various injuries throughout his career. Now, the former Intercontinental Champion is receiving stem cell therapy at RejuvStem.
RejuvStem shared a video on social media showing Sami Zayn receiving stem cell treatment at their clinic in Cancun, Mexico. The former Bloodline member met Viking Raiders’ Ivar, who was there for his own treatment. Both stars had a good conversation at the center as they took a well-deserved break from wrestling. A few months ago, former WWE star MVP also visited the same clinic for his treatment.
RejuvStem wrote that both Zayn and Ivar understand the importance of taking care of their bodies. Zayn achieved another milestone at WrestleMania XL when he defeated Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, ending his record-breaking title reign. He stepped up as a fighting champion and defended the title against some of the top performers.
The 40-year-old veteran even defeated a tough opponent like Bron Breakker at the Money in the Bank premium live event. However, the former NXT Champion ultimately got the better of Zayn when it mattered most, walking away as the new Intercontinental Champion at SummerSlam. Zayn’s last match was against the same opponent, where he failed to recapture the title after losing two out of three falls on the latest Raw.
Jey Uso considers Sami Zayn his Honorary Uce for life
In 2022 and early 2023, Sami Zayn joined The Bloodline and formed a strong alliance with Jey Uso. However, he turned against them after the Royal Rumble last year. Despite everything they had been through together, The Yeet Master still considered the 40-year-old star one of the closest people in WWE.
He appeared at the Fanatics Fest in New York and was interviewed by Peter Rosenberg. Regarding his relationship with the former Intercontinental Champion, Jey stated that he was the only person on the red brand he could blindly trust and called him his brother. One-half of the longest-reigning tag team champions further added that he admired everything about how Zayn wrestled.
My dawg. Sami is an honorary Uce for life. He's the only one on Raw that I trust, he took me in when I first came to Raw. Sami Zayn is my brother, for sure. He grew on me like he grew on all of us. He definitely helped. High key, one of my favorite performers to watch. I like how he acts, I like how he cuts promos, I like the way he moves in the ring.Jey Uso on Sami Zayn at the Fanatics Fest
Both stars recently paired up together on Raw to take on the Judgment Day and even won a tag team match. Jey’s currently focusing on winning his first singles title, as he announced his participation in the No. 1 contender tournament. Fans are hoping for him to finally get a title opportunity against Bron Breakker.
