Mr Beast and Jake Paul are the top 2 highest earning YouTubers of 2021

Publish date: 2024-07-05

Mr Beast and Jake Paul have topped Forbes’ YouTube wealthy list for 2021 with some eye-popping numbers, putting them ahead of several other well-known YouTubers.

YouTube producers have garnered popular notoriety in recent years since they have been able to earn as much as A-listers and athletes.

While YouTubers can make a lot of money by advertising their videos, it’s their outside endeavours that help them get into the top 1% of earners.

Many of them have dabbled in bitcoin, jumped on the NFT (non-fungible token) bandwagon, and invested in promising start-ups. Forbes has released their rich list for 2021 based on creator earnings, and there are some eye-watering figures for major names.

How did Mr Beast become the highest earner from Youtube at 2021?

Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson is the richest YouTuber in the world this year, according to Forbes. Mr Beast made a whopping $54 million in 2021, according to the financial journal, with his Mr Beast burger company listed as a major factor.

Jake Paul is in second place behind him. While this may come as a surprise to some, given that Jake has largely abandoned his YouTube channel, Forbes estimates that he made $40 million from boxing, propelling him to the top of the list. His YouTube profits are believed to be worth $5 million.

With profits of $38, $30, and $28.5 million, YouTube veteran Markiplier, Rhett and Link, and Minecraft sensation Unspeakable round out the top five.
