League of Legends Updated Champions Price In 2023

Publish date: 2024-07-20

Riot is updating the Champion Pricing System with Patch 13.5.

As one of the world’s most popular online multiplayer games, League of Legends continues to attract millions of players from all corners of the globe. One of the key elements of the game’s success is its vast roster of champions. Each champion comes with its own unique abilities and playstyles, and currently, the game has 162 champions. But like free to play any online game, the champions must be separately bought. Each champion can be bought with either the free currency Blue Essence (BE) or the premium currency Riot Points (RP).

However, The current pricing strategy for League of Legends champions is pretty outdated. Champions lose value depending on how many champions have been released since their releases. The pricing also doesn’t consider what demographic the champion caters to. For example, Yuumi is a very simple and beginner-friendly champion, but she costs 6300 BE or 975 RP.

That’s why Riot will be updating the pricing of all the champions. In a recent Dev Blog shared some information about the new price changes going forward. They will be re-categorized from new player-friendly champions to the latest champions. This will help newer players and even older players unlock all the champions.
