Electra is confident in herself and with her body. In fact, she says that this mindset helps her stay healthy and live well. "One of the sexiest qualities you can have is to be confident in who you are," she told Joan Rivers. "You have to accept yourself for who you are, flaws and all. Always be yourself."
Electra opened up about her wellness secrets to The Cut. She says that a big part of her routine is staying hydrated each day. "I made it a rule that I have to drink two bottles of water before I start my day," she says. I used to drink soda, but I don't get any caffeine any more. It's been my New Year's resolution [to drink water] for like seven years. Finally when I started dancing again and working on music, I noticed that I was dehydrated from being so active and consistently sweating. I started drinking water and noticed a change in my body overnight. It's easier for me now to keep the weight off, whereas before, it was more of a struggle. Before I had to be perfectly healthy when I was drinking soda to lose weight. My skin is completely different because it's not as dehydrated. Water has changed my life."
Electra grew up dancing, and she says that this has helped her in her adult life. Electra told The Cut that dancing has helped her stay disciplined when it comes to working out. "I realized that because of my dance background, I already have discipline and I don't need to be pushed. I think I've saved a lot of money too. As a dancer, I've never put strict rules on my workout habits and sometimes I just want to go to the gym and do something light."
Electra tells The Cut that one wellness secret that she is working on is saying "no" to things. To do this, Electra says that she listens to her body at all times. "I listen to my body. There have been times in my life where I've pushed myself so hard to do everything, and I had to learn how to say no. It's important in dating to say no, in your daily life, and with your friends."
Another wellness thing Electra is working on incorporating into her life is worrying less. She tells The Cut that she doesn't want to live her life with regrets or wondering what could've happened. "Stop worrying so much, things usually work out. I used to worry myself so much where I didn't sleep or I didn't take care of myself, but when I looked back it was meaningless. I look back and think about things that I've missed, being happy because I was so worried about something silly. I don't want to look back at things with regrets."
Electra broke down her diet in an interview with Women Fitness. She says that she mostly eats healthy, but also believes in having a cheat day or giving into indulgences. "Some days, I eat whatever I want as long as I'm exercising enough. My biggest struggle is my cravings for sweets, but I've learned to take it easy on myself and get the cravings out of the way so I don't obsess over them. My ultimate goal is to eat healthy all week and have Sunday as my cheat day where I can eat as much as I want and whatever I want."
